Basmati Rice Treasure

Rice Seasonings:

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

¾ teaspoon curry powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon sugar

Garnishing Ingredients:

150g fried diced sausages

2 cup diced pineapple cubes

1 cup diced cucumber

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup crispy chicken floss (optional)

½ cup crispy fried shallots

Ingredients: (Serve 3-4)

3 cups TAJ Basmati rice

3 pieces fresh pineapple (diced)

1 sprig coriander

4 tablespoons butter

4 ½ cups hot chicken broth

 

Directions:

1.   After washing rice, soak in water for approximately 30 minutes in rice cooker. Drain off excess water and keep aside.

2.  Place the soaked Taj Basmati rice, diced pineapples, sprig of coriander, sugar and the rice seasonings into the rice cooker. Add butter and hot chicken broth and mix well. Cook the rice mixture in the rice cooker. Allow rice to stand for 5 minutes.

3.   Fluff the cooked TAJ Basmati rice with fork.

4. Fry diced sausages in a pan until aromatic, sprinkle garlic powder and drizzle with some water. Add in the cooked Basmati rice and stir in garnishing ingredients toss mix well.

5. Serve and garnish with chicken floss and crispy shallots.
